'06, M.B.A. '12, Associate Vice President & Chief Engagement Officer, Duke Alumni Engagement and Develop
Laura is the Associate Vice President & Chief Engagement Officer for Duke University, the first to hold this inaugural position permanently. Her remit includes volunteer engagement, alumni relations, Forever Learning, regional engagement, strategic engagement activities, alumnae engagement, alumni admissions and parent experience, and alumni & student connections. Prior to coming to Duke, she was the Vice President, Paid Media & Digital Marketing at Choice Hotels International, one of the largest lodging companies in the world. At Choice, she led enterprise, full-funnel paid marketing and media, search engine optimization, and regional marketing for 22 brands, including Comfort Inn & Suites and Radisson. Before joining Choice Hotels, Laura held various progressively senior brand marketing and management positions with Procter & Gamble, Mars Inc., and Marriott International. Laura was an active Duke volunteer for almost two decades, serving in a variety of roles, including National Co-Chair of the Duke Asian Alumni Alliance Board, Women's Forum Steering Committee member, ex-officio member of the Duke Alumni Association Board, and an Admissions Alumni Interviewer. She is also married to a Double Dukie, Kevin '05, J.D. '12, and is a parent to two sons.
