Morgan Ramsey
'16, Founder, TELA
Morgan C. Ramsey bridges the worlds of human-centered design and hospitality to create experiences that transform how organizations build community. As Founder of TELA, she has generated over $1M in revenue, curating 75+ bespoke retreats for organizations across 15 countries: experiences designed not for transaction but for transformation. Her clients range from emerging creative brands pitching partnerships with industry giants like Spanx to executive teams seeking cultural cohesion that extends far beyond traditional offsites. Before launching TELA, Morgan spent a decade shaping product strategy at companies redefining the digital landscape. At Google, she led research for the Real Tone initiative, improving how cameras capture melanated skin tones; shaping the company's 2020 retention and inclusion strategy for the Next Billion User AI-UX team. At Etsy, she directed a strategic audit of the buyer trust ecosystem that surfaced over ten growth opportunities to reposition trust as a core business driver. She has also defined AI product strategy at Pluralsight (co-leading AI research across Vista portfolio companies) and Compass (building their 0-1 AI CRM strategy from the ground up). Morgan holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and is currently pursuing a master's in Design Methods from IIT Institute of Design. She has spoken at Harvard, Howard, AfroTech, and the IAC Conference, among others. A retired concert pianist who has performed at Carnegie Hall, she now splits her time between Atlanta and Porto, Portugal, where you're just as likely to find her at a piano as designing the next unforgettable experience.
