,br />Dr. MargEva M. Cole is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. She enjoys being a voice for women's health through compassionate clinical care, thoughtful leadership, and system-level innovation. Clinically, she specializes in individualized, evidence-based treatment for complex gynecologic conditions, menopause, and care for patients with cancer histories, autoimmune disorders, migraines, or clotting disorders. Known for her integrative and patient-centered approach, Dr. Cole is committed to ensuring that every woman is informed, empowered, and supported in making decisions that align with her personal values and goals. Dr. Cole earned her M.D. from Harvard University and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington. She later pursued a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona to gain knowledge about preventive and alternative approaches to healthcare. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Dr. Cole serves as Division Chief in the Duke Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and as Medical Director of the Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center. She is an advocate for workplace wellness and professionalism as well as clinical quality and hospital governance. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Duke Regional Hospital and the DUHS Board of Directors. She is often interviewed on menopause topics by national publications. A proud Durham resident, Dr. Cole lives in Trinity Park and recharges through hiking, travel, and getting lost in a thick historical fiction novel. She brings to her work not only clinical expertise, but also joy, curiosity, and a deep belief in the strength of women and the power of shared decision making.
