Deirdre Stanley is an independent director and a former public company Chief Legal Officer, with over 25 years of C-suite experience in complex, global organizations spanning the information technology, media and beauty sectors. Recognized as a strategic and collaborative leader, Deirdre has proven success in risk management, global legal and regulatory, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and crisis management. Her experience includes management of various shared service functions, including government affairs, global privacy, global security and business development. Deirdre is a director of Consolidated Edison, Inc., where she chairs the Management Development & Compensation Committee, and of PayPal Holdings, Inc. She is a trustee of the Hospital for Special Surgery and The Dalton School, and also a Visiting Lecturer at Yale Law School. From 2019-2024, Deirdre served as EVP and General Counsel of The Estée Lauder Companies, a global manufacturer, marketer and retailer of prestige beauty products. From 2008-2019, she was EVP and General Counsel of Thomson Reuters, an information technology company powered by the world's most global news agency. She is a graduate of Duke University and Harvard Law School.
